Photography has always been a passion of mine, right back to my early teens when my older brother very kindly bought me a Minolta SLR for my birthday. At school and college I spent many hours in the dark room developing my own photographs and later when I circled the world as a Navigating Officer in the Merchant Navy I never travelled without my camera and portable photographic enlarger.

dsc_5931 These days I get to mix my photography with the other passions in my life, apart from my two great kids, mainly windsurfing and fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon. These interests have taken me to some amazing places with wonderful scenery and photographic opportunities. Windsurfing has taken me to The Canaries, Greece, The west coast of Ireland, Egypt and most recently Margarita off the coast of Venezuela whilst my pursuit of the wild Atlantic Salmon has taken me to Canada, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Russia and Iceland. Along the way I have found myself in stunning locations and met some lovely people, some of whom will remain friends for life.

Before joining the Merchant Navy in 1976 and attending Merchant Navy College in Greenhithe I was educated at Quantock School in Somerset. My other interests include shooting, motorcycles, mountain biking and music.

I now live in Surrey with my son and daughter where I own and run my own specialist international Shipbroking business.
